Enter the 2016 KTM 1290 Super Adventure. After the mundane experience of the Goldwing, I decided to go in the other direction, with visions of motocamping and dirt roads in my mind. While this is a great bike, my wife and kids curse me for buying it, they suffer sitting on the back, but not silently.

S should cost thousands more.. But the GT was/is $2K higher to begin with. I've seen some ads for GTs at $15,999, but the dealer is then adding prep/freight on top of that. I think the current rebate from KTM is $3K so that puts the GT about $1K less than the SA-S.
